Crime duo go on spree
Police poster for petrol station thieves
Police are hunting for two female thieves who have used stolen credit cards to steal from 40 garages in East Anglia in less than a week.

The pair, called Thelma and Louise by police, have struck at garages from Cambridge to Great Yarmouth in the past five days.

Police hope CCTV footage from the garages will help them catch the pair, who are in their late teens or early 20s.

The Thelma and Louise description refers to an American film in which two bored women who embark on a crime spree that takes them across the United States.

Bubbly and chatty

The two women have used the credit cards to buy phone cards, snacks and sweets valued at £1,500.

Police say one of the two suspects is quiet, just like her counterpart in the film, while the other is described as bubbly and chatty.

The two of them are shown on the CCTV footage using one of the three credit cards stolen, which were taken from a house in Norwich.

Police say one of the women has a tattoo on her left arm.

Anyone who recognises the women from the CCTV pictures is asked to contact Norfolk or Cambridgeshire police.
