"It is, in effect, another soap about pretty young people. The plot gets bogged down in a sentimental boy-girl storyline", wrote the BBC's entertainment correspondent, Peter Bowes. He added: "But die-hard fans of the Superman franchise will be intrigued by their hero's early days - albeit recently contrived." What do our American readers think of the new-style Superman?
