Midwife crisis

Specialist skills are in danger
Bullying, stress, low pay and poor career prospects - are just some of the reasons why the profession of midwifery is suffering a staffing crisis - according to a report published today.

The government has promised action, but the Royal College of Midwives says there is a big gap between the government's view of what is going on and the reality.

PM's Chris Ledgard has been investigating.
