Greek soldiers killed clearing minefield

Two Greek soldiers have been killed while clearing a minefield on the border with Bulgaria.

They were attempting to defuse a device when it exploded.

Greece has been clearing minefields on its borders since the end of the Cold War, but maintains those on its frontier with Turkey.

Every year, a number of illegal immigrants are killed by mines as they try to enter Greece.
