Senior Kashmiri separatist arrested
A court in India is reported to have remanded in custody a senior leader of the pro-independence Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Yasin Malik, on charges of violating a bail order.

The Press Trust of India news agency said Mr Malik, who is also a member of the main separatist alliance in Indian-administered Kashmir, the All Party Hurriyat Conference, is accused of failing to appear in court twice in connection with a case brought under an anti-terrorism law.

He's also accused of travelling abroad without the court's permission.

He's been remanded until September the fourth.
