Disabled woman receives hate mail
Nine letters have arrived over the last 12 months
Police are investigating a hate mail campaign targeting a disabled woman in Nottinghamshire.
Margaret Hinch, from Selston, says her life is being destroyed by the "poison pen" letters. Mrs Hinch, 57, has received nine letters over the last 12 months accusing her of falsifying benefit claims and allowing noisy children to play in her back garden. She is so upset by the hate mail, she is considering moving house.
"It's just so upsetting. I just don't know what I've done to deserve this. "We've lived here 32 years, I've never owed any rent, I've never fell out with anyone in my life and I get served like this." The letters accuse her of disturbing neighbours by using her garden as a playground for local children and claiming benefits to which she is not entitled. Mrs Hinch's daughter Bridget is furious that her mother has been targeted. "My mum's got a heart of gold. She'll help anyone out. "When she got them I was really annoyed because she doesn't deserve it."
