Three killed in political clashes
Police in Bangladesh say three people were killed in Sunday's clashes between supporters of the two main political parties, the Awami League and the Bangladesh Nationalist party ahead of the general elections in October.

They said the clashes, which took place in Feni and Noakhali districts also left dozens of people injured.

However, the BNP said eight of its supporters had been killed in the violence.

The clashes came a day after the BNP complained that some of its supporters had been assaulted by Awami League activists.
