Bus plunges into Chinese river

An overcrowded bus has plunged into a river in the western Chinese province of Xinjiang, killing at least 32 passengers.

Six passengers and the driver managed to swim to safety before the bus sank.

Reports say driver fatigue probably led to the accident.

The bus was travelling from the provincial capital of Urumqi to Xinhe County.
