Kursk families gather for anniversary

In Russia, families of the crew killed in the nuclear submarine, the Kursk, are gathering in the northern port of Vidyayevo to commemorate the first anniversary of the disaster on Sunday.

A number of events are planned in Vidyayevo, which was the base of the 118 men who were killed when the Kursk sank in the Barents Sea.

Russian officials say divers have finished cutting holes in various parts of the submarine so that steel cables can be attached to lift the vessel next month.
