Asian nations discuss drug control

Officials from four Asian countries have been meeting in Burma to discuss how to improve efforts at tackling the region's drugs trade.

The talks between officials from Burma, Laos, China and Thailand are to prepare for a ministerial summit on drug control to be held in China later this month.

The Burmese Home Affairs Minister, Colonel Tin Hliang, said there needed to be greater cooperation between the four countries to stop drug smuggling across their borders.
