Trinamul wants to rejoin coalition
The leader of the Trinamul Congress party in the east Indian state of West Bengal has said for the first time that she wants to re-join India's ruling coalition.

Mamata Bannerji told a rally at Contai town that she regretted leaving the coalition in May to form an electoral alliance for state elections in West Bengal with the Congress Party.

She said her regional party had laid no conditions for rejoining.

The Trinamul Congress pulled out of the coalition ahead of state elections in May in the wake of a damaging arms bribery scandal surrounding the federal government.
