Mexico bomb attacks condemned
The Mexican Government has pledged to punish those responsible for three bomb attacks outside branches of Mexico's second largest bank, Banamex, in Mexico City.

After an emergency meeting with the country's President, Vicente Fox, the national security adviser, Adolfo Aguilar Zinser, said the government would take strong measures to prevent such attacks in the future.

The home-made bombs caused minor damage and one man was taken to hospital after being hit by flying glass.

Police say they found the acronym, FARP, sprayed on walls near two of the sites.

The letters stand for a little-known left-wing rebel group called the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the People.

Correspondents say the attacks could be linked to the recent takeover of the bank by the American financial giant, Citigroup.
