| A battle over whether traffic should be banned from a riverside road in Paris is being fought out in court. The city's mayor, Bertrand Delanoe, is being sued by lawyer Michel Fleury, after he temporarily pedestrianised a two-mile long stretch of road on the right bank of the Seine. M Fleury accused him of abusing his power and deliberately causing traffic jams to dissuade drivers from using their cars. The BBC's Valerie Jones reports.
