Man shot in head in car
Lupin Grove, Bordesley Green
The man was shot in a street in Bordesley Green area
A man is recovering in hospital after he was shot in the head while sitting in his car.

The attack took place in Birmingham at 2330BST on Tuesday night.

West Midlands Police said the 24-year-old was sitting in his car on Lupin Grove in the Bordesley Green area of the city when a man approached the vehicle and shot him in the head through the passenger window.

The victim, who has not been named, was taken to the city's Heartlands Hospital - his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Detectives say they are keen to trace two men, both of Asian appearance, who were seen leaving the area in a D-registered car shortly after the incident.

Last month a man sitting in a car with a seven-month-old baby was shot in the face during a drive-by shooting in the Whitmore Reans area of Wolverhampton.

There were three car-jackings in Birmingham in July during which shots were fired.
