Harrison buys Swiss villa
Harrison married Olivia Arias in 1978
Former Beatle George Harrison has bought a £7m home in Switzerland near the clinic where he was recently treated for cancer.
The guitarist and songwriter, who is the youngest of the legendary Liverpool quartet, was angry at media reports that he was dying, and has said he feels "very well". He is believed to have bought the house, called Collina D'Oro, several months ago. Harrison and his wife Olivia are now living in the 14-bedroom villa which is perched above Lake Lugano. The former Beatle was just 26 when the band split, but he went on to produce a critically acclaimed solo album All Things Must Pass.
In the 1980s Harrison teamed with former ELO front-man Jeff Lynne on Cloud Nine and then joined with Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison as The Travelling Wilburys. In December 1999 the musician was almost killed when stabbed by an intruder in his Henley Mansion.
