Taiwan bids again to join UN
Taiwan is making another attempt to be accepted into the United Nations with the support of a group of its allies. Previous attempts in the past eight years have failed, having been blocked by China which regards Taiwan as a breakaway province. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
