| More than 5,000 people have been demonstrating in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires, to protest against the government austerity plan which includes the reduction of salaries and pensions. Meanwhile the Argentine government has stepped up its efforts to secure additional financial support from the International Monetary Fund. The BBC's Lourdes Heredia reports from Buenos Aires. |
