Tribal leader killed in north-east India
Separatist guerrillas in the north-east Indian state of Tripura have shot dead another Marxist tribal leader.

Police said Uday Debbarma was attacked by guerrillas of the National Liberation Front of Tripura as he travelled by scooter from Takarjala to the state capital, Agartala.

The group has killed seven middle-ranking Marxist leaders this week besides kidnapping six tea estate executives for ransom.
