Workers killed in Bangladesh stampede
Police in Bangladesh say that at least 16 people were killed and more than 50 injured when garment workers tried to escape from a fire in their factory.

The stampede began as fire took hold of the building in the capital, Dhaka.

A fire services official said there had been an electrical short-circuit in the building , where about 3,000 people were working.

There are conflicting reports about whether the short-circuit caused the fire.
