Cathay Pacific pilots maintain work-to-rule
Pilots with the Hong Kong-based airline, Cathay Pacific, have rejected the company's latest pay offer and will pursue the go-slow they began on 3 July.

The pilots' union has called an extraordinary general meeting on 22 August to discuss further action.

The union's general secretary, John Findlay, told a news conference the company was trying to wriggle out of a clause in the existing contract that prevents it from changing pilots' work rosters without prior consultation.

Cathay Pacific says it is offering pay rises of up to 9%.

It says it is running a near normal service with the help of seven aircraft chartered from mainland China.
