Israeli tanks respond to killing |
| Israel has shelled Palestinian positions around the West Bank city of Ramallah in retaliation for the killing of an Israeli teenager. The seventeen year old boy, who lived in a settlement nearby, was killed when the car in which he was being driven was sprayed with bullets. From Jerusalem, Orla Guerin reports:
