S Korean protests against US bombing range
Protestors demonstrating in Seoul have called on the United States to close a military bombing range it operates in South Korea.

The demonstration comes on the eve of a visit by the US Secretary of State, Colin Powell, who is on a tour of Asia, and follows reports that the Americans are planning to exlude the facility from a list of military installations they are expected to hand back in the next few years.

The protestors say the coastal Noon-Ni range is dangerous and noisy and must be shut down.
