Teenager dies in shooting

Police in Greater Manchester are interviewing three men after a fatal shooting in the city.

An 18 year old was found dead in an alleyway in the Miles Platting area.

A second teenager is detained in hospital with what are believed to be bullet injuries to his hands.

Shortly after 2000BST on Wednesday, police received reports of shots being fired in the Keele Close area of Collyhurst.

From there, the incident continued into Varley Street in Miles Platting, where the dead teenager was discovered.

A post-mortem examination is taking place.

Police believe that a number of local people in both areas may have vital information and say they urgently need help.
