Berlusconi under fire over Genoa
The Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, is due to make a statement in the upper house of parliament on Friday concerning the controversial police handling of the Genoa riots. His allies have already rejected opposition calls for a parliamentary enquiry into the violence during the G8 summit. However, Italian prosecutors are investigating the alleged police brutality.
