Taleban camp for returning refugees
The Taleban have said they will set up a new camp for Afghan refugees returning from Pakistan.

The official news agency said the authorities wanted to provide emergency assistance - especially for those being evacuated from the Nasir Bagh refugee camp in the Pakistan border city of Peshawar.

Pakistan is closing the camp - which is home to over 100,000 people - because it wants to redevelop the site.

The Taleban say they want to establish the new camp just across the border from Pakistan in Nangahar province.

The United Nations refugee agency is opposed to the new centre, saying returnees need to go to their home areas, not be displaced to a fresh camp.
