In pictures: Katharine Graham remembered
The elite of Washington bade farewell on Monday to
Katharine Graham, the veteran Washington Post publisher whose support helped Watergate reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein bring down President Nixon.
Mourners, including politicians and journalists alike, packed the National Cathedral in Washington to pay tribute to Graham, who died last week at the age of 84. Streets were closed as her funeral procession wound through Washington. Much of the ceremony was televised live.
