Violent protests rock Manipur
Police in the north-eastern Indian state of Manipur say that at least 100 people were injured in clashes on Sunday between protestors and security forces in the state capital, Imphal.

Thousands of demonstrators defied a curfew to protest against the Delhi government's decision to extend beyond the borders of the neighbouring state of Nagaland a ceasefire with a group of Naga rebels based there.

The decision has triggered violent protests over fears that parts of Manipur, and other neighbouring states, were to be hived off to create a greater Nagaland.
