Robbie holds top spot
Robbie Williams on Top of the Pops
Robbie: Album was second-best seller of 2000
Robbie Williams is still at number one in the UK singles chart, with a new release by U2 only managing to enter at number three.

Williams, currently in the middle of a sold-out UK tour, is enjoying his second week at the top with the double A-side of Eternity and The Road to Mandalay.

U2's Elevation, the third single to be taken from the hit All That You Can't Leave Behind album, could not challenge him or D12, who are at number two.

D12, Eminem's rap outfit, are unchanged with their song Purple Hills, which fell foul of chart rules in its first week of release.

Sales of some records by D12 - short for Dirty Dozen - were deemed ineligible because a sticker was given away free with the CD, which is against chart rules.

R&B star Sisqo enters the chart at number six, while Mariah Carey - recently rumoured to have signed the most expensive record deal ever - could only enter at number 12.

Robbie has spent the weekend playing live to 130,000 fans over two nights at the Milton Keynes Bowl.

His latest album, Sing When You're Winning, was the second best-selling long-player of 2000 - beaten only by The Beatles.

U2 are also in the middle of a tour, having played in Italy over the weekend after lead singer Bono met world leaders at the G8 summit in Genoa.

All That You Can't Leave Behind has now sold more than 5 million copies worldwide since it's September release.

At the top of this week's album chart, Destiny's Child move to number one from number two, swapping places with Usher.

Wyclef Jean and The Beta Band are the highest new entries - at numbers 12 and 13 respectively.
