Game on for Paul and Helen
Paul and Helen
Paul and Helen: Want to stay friends after show ends
Big Brother housemates Paul and Helen sneaked into the den in the early hours of Saturday night - but ended up playing snakes and ladders.

The pair went to the hideaway equipped with blankets but put their energies into playing the board game - disappointing the show's viewers hoping for a budding romance.

At one stage the pair were plunged into darkness as they lay side by side, but nothing happened between them.

Hairdresser Helen, 23, is unaware that her boyfriend Big G has dumped her over her flirtation in the house with car designer Paul, 24.

Big Brother contestant Brian
Brian: Bookies' favourite to win
Paul has so far held back from Helen, fearing reprisals from her former beau.

But this did not deter her from imagining them together after the show.

"I'm picturing you and me in Hello, like 'Helen and Paul go shopping together'," she said.

Paul replied: "Forget all that, that's just not going to happen."

But when Helen asked him if he would see her again outside the house, he said: "Yeah, I hope so."

Big Brother addicts are still hoping they will get together after Helen escaped eviction on Friday.

Betting odds

Eighty-four per cent of the votes cast were for property manager Josh, leaving Helen inside the house with fellow contestants Brian, Elizabeth, Dean and Paul.

Big G, real name Gavin Cox, refused to appear on Friday's Channel 4 show with host Davina McCall, saying that he no longer felt that he had a future with Helen.

But despite so much interest surrounding Helen and Paul, air steward Brian is still the firm favourite to win the £70,000 prize, with odds of 2/7, according to William Hill bookmakers.

Paul is second favourite on 9/2, while Helen is 13/2 and web designer Elizabeth 10/1.

Tabloid frenzy

Musician Dean is the outsider at 14/1.

This is not the first time Paul and Helen have appeared to be on the verge of a Big Brother romance.

Earlier last week they shared a candlelit dinner together in the den, prompting tabloid newspapers to go into a frenzy over the developing relationship between the pair.

As a reward for completing an assault course task, Big Brother offered the group a slap up meal with alcohol - on the condition that they pair up for the evening.

But at the end of their evening Paul backed out due to Helen's relationship with Big G.
