Castro opens Elian museum
Elian Gonzalez was shipwrecked while trying to reach the United States. He became the subject of a long and bitter custody battle between his mother's family, backed by the anti-Castro Cuban American community in Miami, and his father, supported by the Cuban government. The museum, dedicated to his story, is in his home town, Cardenas, in central Cuba. The BBC's Daniel Schweimler reports:
