Police in Newtownabbey in County Antrim are treating a fire at the Abbey Centre complex as arson.

The fire was reported at 0545 BST on Saturday.

Jungle Jim's children's adventure park was completely destroyed, while an adjoining carpet business suffered extensive smoke damage.

One of the firefighters, Nobby Clarke, said it took 52 people two hours to bring the fire under control.

It is understood the fire was started under an oil tank.
