The robbers made off with a four-figure sum
Police in the west end of Glasgow are appealing for information after an armed robbery in a city street.

Two men were left badly shaken after they were robbed by two others at around 0130 BST on Saturday morning.

The two thieves made off with a four-figure sum after the robbery in the Whittinghame Drive area of Jordanhill.

A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said two men armed with weapons approached and threatened the men, who are aged 25 and 30.

He said the men responsible "made off with personal items and money of a four-figure sum in value".

The two victims were left badly shaken by the incident but were otherwise uninjured.

The robbers are described as being aged either 19 or 20, of slim build with dark hair.

The first was said to be 6ft, while the second man was described as being 5ft 10ins.

Detectives at Partick CID said they would like to hear from anyone in the area at the time who saw two men acting suspiciously.
