Fresh appeal over loyalist murder
The man was shot at Greystone Roundabout in Antrim
Mr Cummings was shot at Greystone Roundabout
The police investigating the murder of a Catholic teenager in Antrim last week have issued a fresh appeal for information.

Ciaran Cummings, 19, was shot dead at the Greystone Roundabout as he waited for a lift to work on Wednesday 4 July.

He was approached by two men on a black motorcycle and was shot several times. He died at the scene.

The police have previously said their main line of inquiry is that Mr Cummings was shot by loyalist paramilitaries.

On Friday evening, detectives said they were keen to speak to the driver of a small green car, possibly a Citroen, which was spotted about 0710 BST on the morning of the murder.

The police say it had travelled behind a motorcycle along the Greystone Road and onto Loughanmore Road, in the direction of Templepatrick.

This person is asked to contact detectives at the incident room at Antrim on 90 650222.

The appeal comes just days after detectives recovered a motorcycle which they believed may have been used in the killing.

The police said they had found the bike at Carnearney Lane in the Tardree Forest area north of Antrim on Wednesday.

The find was made after officers re-visited the murder scene to try to jog people's memories about the killing.

A dissident loyalist group, the Red Hand Defenders, which has been used as a cover name by other loyalist groups including the UFF and LVF, has said it carried out the murder.
