Nigeria's biggest bank heist

Bank robbers in Nigeria have escaped with the equivalent of $320,000 in a daring raid on a Lagos branch of the Diamond bank.

Police say the five attackers also stole one of their vehicles equipped with a siren, to help them escape more quickly.

They say they are holding four employees from the bank after it emerged that there was a long delay in the alarm being raised.

Correspondents say newspapers have been full of reports of increasingly daring armed robberies over the past weeks.
