Sweet November: Your views
Nelson (Keanu Reeves) falling for Sara (Charlize Theron) in romantic drama
Big stars but big failure for Sweet November
Sweet November is a new romantic drama starring Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron.

Reeves plays Nelson, an advertising executive who falls for the kooky Sara (Theron).

Sara offers Nelson a bizarre deal - live with her for a month as her boyfriend and she will change his life.

"It has all the hallmarks of something which might well have gone straight to video were it not for the presence of its two star names," wrote the BBC's Caroline Westbrook.

But what do you think? Have Reeves and Theron chosen a dud movie? Are they responsible for its failures? Or did you enjoy the romance?

HAVE YOUR SAY

What a boring movie! Reeves and Theron should have known better than to take these roles which I can only imagine they took to provide some pocket change. The plot is thin and watery and not even some rose tinted camera work can come to the rescue of this. The thinly veiled moral line has been done many a time and like the many others before it has failed as well. Having already failed in the US and Canada this one is heading to a video store near you.

I knew this was just an escapist movie when I went to see it, but I was still infuriated - not by the acting (reasonable) but the plot. The ending is a tie between totally infuriating and totally unbelievable. Any two people really in love wouldn't act like that. And I really can't see how he got that refrigerator through the window!
Alayne McGregor, Canada

Whilst this does not need to be viewed at the cinema, it was much better than the many reviews that I have read had lead me to expect. I would recommend this film as a conversation stimulant. The chemistry between the leads works well and there are several thought-provoking threads. Keanu is better once the "experiment" begins, but that does not detract in any way. Go see or take it out on video - either way I think you will enjoy it.
Stan, Great Britain

I just love Keanu Reeves so I enjoyed it!
Jane Love, England

A simple movie, yes, but the two leads had a connection to each other that was both sweet and believeable. A movie about love and second chances with top notch performances.
Karen, Australia

I thought this was a great movie...it could have been a lot better but is nowhere near as bad as people say! I love Keanu and any movie he is in is just amazing for me! But that's not the reason it was good.
Sami, England

Do people who live in Canada and the people at the BBC have no sense of a great movie? This was great! It was so enjoyable. I guess some people need to wake up!
Kat, America

I thought this was a good movie, and again as stated previously by others, it was not at all as bad as the reviews said. Check it out, it just may surprise you.
Kristina, US

I loved this movie. It had its happy, sad, angry and bizarre moments. How many other movies can say they have all that in one movie? Romance is not gone, people have just forgotten how to experience it.
Pam, Canada
