Vietnam's population rising rapidly

The authorities in Vietnam say the country's population is likely to increase by a million people each year in the coming decade.

The government is to launch a campaign to try to lower the birthrate, largely through distributing condoms and running family planning services.

About 80-million people now live in Vietnam.
