No romance for Paul and Helen
Helen has talked less and less about her boyfriend
Big Brother contestant Paul shied away from fellow housemate Helen after they shared a candlelit dinner.
Tabloid newspapers have gone into a frenzy over the developing relationship between the pair, hoping they will become an item. As a reward for completing an assault course task, Big Brother offered the group a slap up meal with alcohol - on the condition that they pair up for the evening.
But at the end of their evening Paul backed out fearing reprisals from Helen's boyfriend. 'Special' The two chose to share their dinner in the den - a new addition to the house for series two - away from the rest of the house. As Helen, 22, put her arms around Paul, 24, he said he could not stop thinking about her boyfriend - nicknamed Big G. He said: "I think you and Big G have got something good and special and I don't want that to be jeopardised."
But the Welsh housemate, having earlier said she would marry her man, downplayed her relationship saying it was "on-and-off". While they spent a romantic evening together, Dean and Elizabeth made up another "couple", as did Josh and Brian, with each pair in a different room in the house. Kiss Brian and Josh, whose fiery relationship has tamed in recent weeks, agreed they would never fully be friends. Helen, who is up for eviction on Friday alongside Josh, was seen by E4 viewers making an special effort for her night with Paul, which they both agreed was a date. As the alcohol took hold, Helen told the 24-year-old car designer she loved him and pretended to the other housemates that they had kissed. But Paul was concerned about the way events were developing, saying things were "getting out of hand". Eviction They parted at the end of the evening, leaving viewers waiting for the next instalment. Helen is the bookies' favourite to stay in the house. Designer Paul has escaped nomination, after the public chose to keep him in for four weeks in a row. But air steward Brian is favourite to win the £70,000 prize money when the show finishes at the end of July.
