Indian MP's brother killed in Kashmir

Police in Indian-administered Kashmir say separatist militants have killed the brother of a member of national parliament.

The authorities said Nazir Ahmed was shot dead in Patan, some 27 km north of Srinagar.

Mr Ahmed's brother, Abdul Rashid Shaheen, is a key member of the state's governing National Conference, which opposes the Kashmiri separatist movement.
