Forty killed in Indian bus crash
Police in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh say about 40 people were killed when a bus fell into an overflowing canal on Tuesday night.

It happened in the Damoh district, about 200 km from the state capital, Bhopal.

At least nine passengers were rescued and sent to hospital.

According to the police, the road had been in a bad condition due to recent heavy rain.
