Five star becomes father
Scott Robinson of boy band Five has become a father with the birth of his baby boy.

Robinson was with fiancée Kerry Oaker at the birth of Brennan Reiss in an Ilford hospital on Wednesday.

"He is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen - olive skin, mummy's lips and, unfortunately, daddy's nose." Robinson said of his new son.

Robinson and Oaker met three years ago and are set to marry in September, having been engaged for two years. The other members of Five were said to be "thrilled".

Dutch rock legend dies

Dutch rock star Herman Brood died on Wednesday after jumping to his death from the roof of an Amsterdam hotel, police have said.

Brood, 55, who spoke about the difficulty of ending his drug habit, had complained of poor health and depression and told a close friend he didn't want to "fade away".

Brood became famous with his 1978 hit single Saturday Night, which he wrote as leader of the band Wild Romance.

Over 25 years, he recorded almost 20 albums. He also appeared in Dutch movies.

Search for celebrity doubles

A search is beginning for Britain's best celebrity lookalikes to take part in a one-off TV show which could launch a new career.

Stars And Their Doubles is seeking lookalikes from the worlds of royalty and sport as well as showbiz.

The ITV show, to be hosted by Des O'Connor, will put hopefuls in front of a real celebrity panel where they will face challenges to prove their star status.

Auditions for the show, to be broadcast in August, are being held at London's Brixton Rehearsal Rooms on Saturday 21 July.

Irons' innocent kiss amid fracas

A kiss between actor Jeremy Irons and Patricia Kaas, co-star of his new film, was nothing more than "an innocent kiss goodbye", his agent has said.

The kiss was caught in a photograph in The Sun newspaper, while another showed Irons taking evasive action amid a fracas outside a London night club.

Anne Hutton, agent for Irons, who has been married to actress Sinead Cusack for more than 20 years, told PA News: "It was an innocent kiss goodbye and nothing more as the pair left the nightclub at the end of the film wrap party."

She added: "Unfortunately a fracas happened outside while they were leaving, but Jeremy assures me the fight had nothing to do with the film party."

Hugh Jackman is in the frame to play lawyer Billy Flynn, while Kathy Bates may play prison matron Mama Morton.
