Two improvised explosive devices have been made safe by Army bomb disposal experts in County Londonderry.
Police had warned people in the South Derry area to be on the alert following a telephone warning that explosive devices had been left in the Maghera area on Tuesday. The suspect objects were found at two locations. A hall at Longfield Road near Desertmartin and commercial premises at Glenshane Road near Maghera had been cordoned off. People who were removed from their houses in Maghera were allowed back. The security forces took away other items for examination. |
