| A former South American dictator has been charged over an alleged conspiracy to capture and kill his political opponents two decades ago. Argentina's former military ruler Jorge Videla is the first to have been charged in relation to 'Plan Condor' - a covert operation in which thousands of left-wing South Americans "disappeared". General Videla is already under house arrest on kidnapping charges. He has been put under further detention pending this latest investigation. The BBC's Claire Marshall reports |
