Wanted gunman found in Mexico

The Mexican authorities have announced they've found the alleged top gunmen of one of the country's most violent drug cartels - the Cartel of Tijuana - after identifying him inside prison.

A spokeswoman of the attorney-general's office said the man, Jorge Humberto Rodriguez Banuelos, had been detained after a shootout almost three months ago under a false name.

He had had plastic surgery, lost 40 kilos in weight and had a hair implant; but his real identity was discovered because of discrepancies in the records and a bullet-wound scar on his right buttock.

He was wanted in connection with the killing of the Roman Catholic Cardinal Juan Jesus Posadas Ocampo in 1993.
