Foot-and-mouth reappears in UK |

| Officials at DEFRA - the Department of Environment, Food and
Rural Affairs - say they're very concerned about a recent cluster of
foot and mouth cases around Thirsk in North Yorkshire. There have
been six outbreaks in the area in recent days. More the eighteen
hundred cases of the disease have now been reported across the
country, and more than three and a half million animals slaughtered. The BBC's Richard Bilton reports |
