Eleven killed in Kashmir violence
The authorities in Indian-administered Kashmir say 11 people have been killed in three separate incidents since Monday night.

Police said two militants and an Indian soldier were among five people killed in a clash Monday night in Southern Kashmir.

The militant separatist group Hizbul Mujahideen has said it carried out the attack.

In another incident, three militants were killed by security forces in Anantnag district.

Police also say the security forces killed three other militants in two different incidents in Baramulla.

The clashes come as the Indian prime minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, prepares to meet the Pakistani president, Pervez Musharraf, in Delhi this weekend.
