Trial date for Chinese-American academic
The Chinese Foreign Ministry has said that a Chinese-American academic, Li Shaomin, will be put on trial for spying on 14 July. It said a US diplomat would be allowed to observe but the trial would not be open to the public. No mention was made of four other US-linked Chinese academics being held .
