Indonesia president reshuffles cabinet

The President of Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid, who's facing impeachment, has made his third cabinet re-shuffle this year.

Justice Minister Marsillam Simandjuntak, a Wahid loyalist, has become the new attorney general, replacing Baharuddin Lopa, who died last week from a heart related disease.

Mohammad Mahfud, who was the defence minister, takes over as Justice Minister.

The retired army general Agum Gumelar is now the Defence Minister, in addition to his existing position as Senior Security minister.

However, correspondents say the changes are unlikely to appease the presidents critics, just weeks ahead of a session by legislatures to consider impeaching him.
