Davis quits Tory leadership race
Mr Davis said he was stepping down after it was clear he could no longer win. His decision leaves the contest on a knife edge with Michael Portillo, Iain Duncan Smith and Ken Clarke competing for just two places on the ballot papers that will go out to all members of the party.
