Srebrenica riots warning

The Interior Minister of Bosnia's Muslim-Croat Federation, Muhamed Besic, has warned that hardline Serb groups are preparing disturbances for Wednesday's anniversary of the 1995 massacre in Srebrenica.

The minister said the hardliners were, he said, ready to do anything to provoke a big incident in the wake of the extradition to the Hague of Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic.

Thousands of Muslims, including political leaders, are expected in the town for the unveiling of memorial to mark the area where the victims of the massacre will be buried.

An estimated 7,500 Muslim men were killed in Srebrenica in the worst atrocity of the Bosnian war.
