Albanian Socialists claim victory
The governing Socialist Party in Albania says it's won a decisive victory in the second and final round of parliamentary elections. Although no official results have yet been made public, the party said that together with its allies it has a big enough majority to form the next government and choose a new president. But the opposition Democratic Party has complained about irregularities in the way the polling was conducted, signalling that it might refuse to accept the outcome. The party has said it will take its case to the European Court of Human Rights.
